Women Dutch Open

August 11, 2017

Ready for my next challenge! I was two and out in the open division, but it was good practice before my main event tomorrow. I play Ana Gradisnik at 0900 and I will try my best to perform well. We have a full field of 64 players, which promise good for the tour future, but means busy days:)

Here we go!

October 23, 2015

20151022_194616The CBSA cloth is ready, the new cueball has arrived, visa is ok, flights and hotel booked… The 2015 Women’s World 9-Ball Championship is closing in!

I will spend my last week doing drills on the table and play a lot. The cloth behaves different from my normal cloth and so do the balls. Also the change in color needs a little getting used to:)

But I am so happy to have this opportunity to practice with the cloth and balls before I come to China. There are so many elements that affect your game while you are there, so elimination of variables is very important.

I will arrive in Guilin three days before the tournament starts so the jet-lag will be fixed by then. I will spend those days practicing if possible and just enjoy the scenery. Guilin is a very beautiful place and there are plenty of things to see.

If I have access to wordpress and facebook you will get updates from me, if not you will find all information alison-chang.com. My good friend Alison always gets the information out somehow, thank you Alison:)

Thanks for reading!

Finally, it is time for playing! The draw is done and I assume it will be posted on http://womensworld10ball.com/index.html soon.

My group is:

Liu Shasha (CHN)
A. Kajitani (JPN)
S. Ayala (ARG)
E J. Park (KOR)
R. Wagner (USA)
Ine Helvik (NOR)

I play two matches tomorrow, first at 11 am against S. Ayala (ARG), then again at 3:30 pm against R. Wagner (USA)

Today Marika and I went practicing in a bowling-hall, it was actually quite good. It was very noisy so we got some practice in playing among people also, which we need. We do not have many tournaments in malls and it is very different to have all the people talking around you. We also had the opening ceremony and press conference and at last we got some practice time on the tables!  It has been a good day and tomorrow hopefully even better:)

Christmas is just around the corner, or so it seem:) e now have a Christmas tree in the lobby and Christmas carols during breakfast. They sure know how to build up the expectations. It is a bit early for me still, it is two months away! Everybody else seem to enjoy it tough:)

Now, time for bed

Ps, sorry there is no pictures, the internett is not stable enough to upload anything today. Hope it is better tomorrow:)

Manila closing in:)

October 22, 2013

Image The fifth World 10-ball Championships are closing in, Sunday I leave for Manila. I can feel the excitement and I look forward to meeting my friends again. I have been practising a lot the last few weeks and I will continue to practise until Sunday.

The championship website is now updated with all players from the regular quota, all we miss are the qualifiers and organizers spots. This will be a great tournament!

We start playing on Thursday 31st and as soon as I get more information I will make sure to post it:)

Last 16 in 9-ball!

March 29, 2012

I won 7-4 against Ana Gradisnik from Slovenia. She is very young but a big talent. Tomorrow I meet Line Kjørsvik at 14:00. I really did not want to play with my fellow teammate, but that is the way the draw went. At least we did not meet today.

Now I am on my way to support the guys, they play a team-match against Croatia. Go Norway!!

Remember to follow the Livestream🙂
