Day 3
November 2, 2013
Sorry for not updating, the internett has been very slow and loosing matches do not really boost your patience:) I have one more match before I am done, that is against Erica Park tonight at 6:30 pm. I have no chance of advancing but I will give it my best like I always do:)
It has been a rough tournament for me. Day one I totally lost my confidence on the table. I just got insecure and then you do silly mistakes. Also, you have the the crowd breathing down your neck on three of the tables and off course I played on those tables my first three matches, that’s life:) Day two I had tougher competition, but played way better. Even loosing 6-0 to Liu Sasha was a better game than on day one. I pulled out some great shots in that match but I just could not finish of anything. After every great shot I was left with nothing, had to play safety and unfortunately I lost most of the safety battles. Back to the practice table:)
Time to hit the shower and get ready!
Ine:)

The six tables next to the tv table. As you see the crowd is really close, but at least there is a crowd:)

The decoration in the hotel lobby. It is a great looking tree, but christmas is two months away!! We also have christmas carols and decoration in the mall btw…
Draw
October 30, 2013
Finally, it is time for playing! The draw is done and I assume it will be posted on http://womensworld10ball.com/index.html soon.
My group is:
Liu Shasha (CHN)
A. Kajitani (JPN)
S. Ayala (ARG)
E J. Park (KOR)
R. Wagner (USA)
Ine Helvik (NOR)
I play two matches tomorrow, first at 11 am against S. Ayala (ARG), then again at 3:30 pm against R. Wagner (USA)
Today Marika and I went practicing in a bowling-hall, it was actually quite good. It was very noisy so we got some practice in playing among people also, which we need. We do not have many tournaments in malls and it is very different to have all the people talking around you. We also had the opening ceremony and press conference and at last we got some practice time on the tables! It has been a good day and tomorrow hopefully even better:)
Christmas is just around the corner, or so it seem:) e now have a Christmas tree in the lobby and Christmas carols during breakfast. They sure know how to build up the expectations. It is a bit early for me still, it is two months away! Everybody else seem to enjoy it tough:)
Now, time for bed
Ine:)
Ps, sorry there is no pictures, the internett is not stable enough to upload anything today. Hope it is better tomorrow:)
Arrived in Manila
October 29, 2013

From this ( Stavanger, NOR)…
It has been a long travel, but I am now in the hotel, looking out on the airport from my room. It took a a total of 25 hours and I have 7 hours time difference from Norway. I can feel the jet lag now, but I will be better tomorrow. I do not play until thursday so everything should be fine.
I have been walking around the hotel and Mall and we have a 7eleven and Mc Donalds in the hotel on top of probably 15 restaurants in the mall. The mall is actually a large Casino with a lot of high end shops surrounding it ( I cannot afford to even look!l LOL), but the restaurant floor looks good.
They have the qualifiers in Star Billiards with livestream ( http://www.starbilliards.com.ph/ ) and I will try to go there to get a few hours on the table tomorrow. If I can find it that is. If anyone have the address I would appreciate it:)
No information on the tournament yet, I will post links and draws as soon as I have them. I do know it will start thursday, it is round robin with 6 in each group and 3 to advance, it will be sent live on TV and also streamed on http://www.insidepool.tv/ for free.
Have a nice day!

The fifth World 10-ball Championships are closing in, Sunday I leave for Manila. I can feel the excitement and I look forward to meeting my friends again. I have been practising a lot the last few weeks and I will continue to practise until Sunday.
The championship website is now updated with all players from the regular quota, all we miss are the qualifiers and organizers spots. This will be a great tournament!
We start playing on Thursday 31st and as soon as I get more information I will make sure to post it:)

2013 Yalin Women’s World 10-Ball Championships
September 23, 2013

Manila, here I come again! Due to my 5th place on the European ranking I am directly qualified for the WC 10-ball. We are a total of 9 directly qualified players from Europe, top 4 in the EC 10-ball and top 5 on the ranking. Martine Christiansen is number 4 which means we will both go to represent Norway:)
I still pay most of my expenses myself, but this time I got a a little support from my federation. Everything helps, I really appreciate it:) Hopefully I can take home some price money to pay for the rest of the trip, but I would not miss out on this anyway. It is a great tournament with a great format.
We start thursday 31. october and it is a round robin format with 6 in each group. Top three in each group qualify for the single elimination. I will post links to draw, livestream, livescore etc when I have it:)
Right now most information (qualifiers etc) can be found here:
