Silver and… Silver again…
February 15, 2013
I got silver in both disciplines, first I lost against Martine Christiansen in 14-1 and then for Line Kjørsvik in 10-ball. The balls did not roll my way and that was that. I played ok all weekend, but I just did not bring my best game in the finals.
Going home my flight was late and I missed my flight to Stavanger. That meant a night in Oslo… I was exhausted when I finally came home monday, but it was a good weekend all in all:) We had the newspaper Firda visiting us, taking pictures and writing a good news story which you can find here: NM (Norwegian only)
Here are all the girls that participated:

Picture is taken by Firda. From back from left: Martine Christiansen, Heidi Bratthammer, Ine Helvik, Kjersti

Next weekend (1-2-3 February) I will go to Førde to play the Norwegian Championships for women in 14-1 and 10-ball. This is an important weekend, these two events will determine which two will play the European Championships in Slovenia in april. All the best women in Norway will be there and we start on friday with 14-1. We will be three from Svithun BK, Martine Christiansen, Heidi Bratthammer and myself. Line Kjørsvik will come home from USA and June Håndstad will come down from Tromsø.
I will update this post with all participants after the announcement is closed. For now you can see the participants here: 14-1 10-ball
2013!
January 13, 2013
OK, I am a bit late announcing 2013:) Nevertheless I have had a great start of the new year and I hope it continues. It began january 1. with a visit at Ledaal and the mayor of Stavanger Christine Sagen Helgø. I received the city-pin, the usual big towel with Norwegian Champion printed on it AND 20 000 NOK, app 3600 dollar, for my silver in the team competition (with Line Kjørsvik) in the EC 2012.
The day after I got my spot to the Amway Cup, where at least half the money will go, and then I got news of at least 5, probably 6, Eurotours for women in 2013!
So far this has been a good year!!
In three weeks time it I will travel to the first Norwegian Championships in 2013, 14-1 and 10-ball in Førde. Then it is Taiwan and Portugal before Easter and off course all the local tournaments. This will be a busy but hopefully good poolyear!
Happy New Year to you all!

Stavanger FURY Cup and my new cue:)
December 7, 2012
Saturday 01.dec I recieved my new cue, sunday 02. dec I played my first tourmament with it. And I love it:) I had a good tournament, I finished second. The Stavanger Fury cup is a handicap tournament and that makes it quite hard to win, I have the lowest handicap. We played best of three sets, one set with 8-ball, one with 10-ball and one with 9-ball. The player with the lowest handicap choose the discipline, than the winner of the set chose the next discipline. Needless to say, 9-ball was the last discipline to be played in all matches:)
I lost the final against Rune Espeland 1-2 in sets, and won two first matches with 2-0 in sets against Kurt Moan and Fredrik Førde.
Just for the record: My Fury SDN is equipped with a OB-2 shaft, I love the combination!

Visit to Longoni factory
November 19, 2012
My last day in Italy, after playing pool all weekend in Treviso and visiting the Mirafiori factory in Torino, we went back to Milano and stopped to visit Norditalia, the company that among other things makes the Longoni Cues. We were invited into the cue factory and I must say I was very impressed! All Longoni cues are made in Italy in this factory and I was under the impression that Longoni did the same as almost all other cue makers, mainly got them made in China to their specifications. But no, they are really Italian made!
I went to the factory thinking that my cooperation with them would be limited to cue accessories, the famous Blue Diamond chalk and maybe some pool tables and foosball tables. I now know it will also include cues. I will make the cues available in the shop as soon as I can manage and all cues will be ordered after the specifications of the customer. You can make a lot of small changes to the cue to make sure you get it just right:)
I am quite exited by the new growth of my shop. I have changed from only offering the fundamentals to be able to offer high end cues, low end cues, all kind of accessories from Kamui to Longoni to Fury to OBcues and so on. All changes and products are not in yet, but they are coming soon!
I like being able to do many things in pool. I love to play and to meet my fellow players in my pool hall. I also like the fact that I can provide affordable equipment to both new and old players and off course that I can provide more expensive high end equipment as well. Pool is about having fun and I feel happy thinking that I have helped someone to have fun:)
Take care
Ine:)
