Plakat_ET_2014_KyreniaFinally, tomorrow I am leaving for North Cyprus!! I have been watching the girls play EC for a week and I want to play too!!!

This time it is 9-ball and we start thursday. There will be a mens Eurotour at the same time so it will be busy but good!

You can find information, results and draw on eurotourwomenonline.eu and Live stream on Kozoom.com.

I will update if I can during the tournament.

Thanks for reading and have a good day:)

Resume of the trip:

– 24 hours delay on getting to North Cyprus, had to stay in Amsterdam again!
– No luggage until late Thursday night
– Taxi for 3 hours to collect my luggage, back in the hotel around one in the morning. Play next morning off course. (Thanks Olav Skrudland for coming with me)
– Borrowed cue in my first match, 10 minutes practice with the cue. BTW Thank you Caroline Roos for lending me your cue:)
– Met Katarzyna Wesolowska ( European Champion 10-ball 2014) next morning WITH my cue but dead tired.
-Ended 33rd, dropped to 10th on the European ranking…

That was the short story, North Cyprus came and went with no internett and no joy in the tournament. It was nice to see my friends again though, especially Line Kjørsvik, Monica Webb and Marika Poikkijoki. I do not get to see them enough:)

Next Eurotour is in Austria, that must be better:)

Not so happy, but all you can do is learn and move forward. Now I am looking forward to play 9-ball in North Cyprus:) We did have good weather though, and Sara Rocha and Bilharmania did a great job. Obrigado Sara!

W8BallBack home in Norway and have started the 8-ball practice:) This year Sara Rocha has promised that the weather will be good! Tournament starts saturday 15th march and you can find information and the draw here: http://www.eurowomentouronline.eu

IMG_9915We are down to the last 24 and I am watching the matches on tv in my room. I just saw Karen Corr loose 7-0 to Chihiro Kawahara with alternate breaks, I beat Kawahara 7-2 last year. That tells me that it all comes down to who gets the feel of the table first and that I am not the only one struggling. That lifts my spirit a little:)

This tournament is different form the ones we play in Europe due to many things. We have no practice on the match table, we are not used to the winners break format, we do not play round robin, we do not have shot-clock all the time, we do not have that many world champions in a tournament (Jasmin Ouschan, Kelly Fisher, Alison Fisher, Rubilen Amit, Kim Ga-Young, Pan Xiao-Ting, Lin Yuan-Chun, Liu Shin-Mei, Fu Xiaofang, Liu Shasha, Han Yu) and we are not used to playing with a big audience and also TV production. This is a different level of tournament than the Eurotours and our national tournaments an dI just have to take what I can from it:)

Crossing my fingers for my western friends playing today, Jasmin Ouschan, Kelly Fisher, Izabela Lacka and Alison Fisher. Here you can find the bracket for the last 24: http://sport.videoland.com.tw/event/2014amway/game03.asp
