Austria Women’s Open, Eurotour stop 3!

Tomorrow morning I leave for the third eurotour stop in St Johann Im Pongau in Austria. The venue and hotel, Sportshotel Alpina, is superb and I am really looking forward to visit them again. I start to play saturday morning, the draw will be ready tomorrow afternoon. My teammates Mats Schjetne and Thomas Fjæran are already there and play today at 1330.
I am really looking forward to play, I have spent the last weeks practicing on my Dynamic table with the Tournament balls. Since we have 1 on spot on the break in Norway, I have focused on my break shot and I think I finally found a consistent way of hitting the balls with 9 on the spot. The break shot is one of the most important shots in 9-ball and this break requires a very different hit than with 1 on the spot so it really needs to be practiced.

17th place in the ET

I lost 7-6 in the WQ against Katarzyna Wesolowska and then 7-2 against Melanie Sussenguth in the LQ. The last match was difficult. Melanie played very well and I managed to hide the cueball whatever I did. So, my run ended with a 17th place.
Overall it has been a good trip and 5th place in EC feels good.
No I am on my way home.

Winner qualification today

I won my match yesterdayagainst Ana Oliveira 7-3 and play winners qualification against Katarzyna Wesolowska at 1800 today. I played solid so I am happy with that. Now the sun is out and we are relaxing by the pool:)

Eurotour has started

Today the eurotour started and we have three more Norwegians joining us, Martine Christiansen, Jan Kjetil Nordrum and Kenneth Rognstad (in the picture giving David Alcaide a hard time)
I played a match already and won with thr narrowest of margins 7-6. It was just one of those matches where everything got difficult and Ortenzia Haefliger played well. On again at 1930:)

5th place 9-ball European championships

I lost the quarterfinals against Natalia Seroshtan with 8-2. I did not play my best game, but I did try my best. 5th is still ok, but offcourse I am dissapointed not to play better.
Now I am watching Kelly Fisher and Natalia Seroshtan in the finals:)
Eurotour starts thursday so I am going to enjoy a day in the sun tomorrow
