Day seven and eight

March 31, 2011

Last night was a disaster, I really did not play any good. I lost my confidence and ended up on 17th in the 9-ball. After a talk with Jörgen I focused on my preshot routine today and that helped a lot. I lost my first game in 10.-ball against Witzel, but she played good and I did not get any balls on the break. Monica (Webb) was watching my second match and have given me some pointers to what to do so the balls go down. I will try that on friday when I play again. I went to the local poolhall and had a few games with Marketa Mjlenkova and it seems to work. It felt really good to just shoot some balls without any tournament pressure:)

Tomorrow the day starts at 10 with Line playing the quarterfinals and hopefully semifinals at 12. After this the men will play their semifinals and finals live on Eurosport 2. This is a a good opportunity to promote our sport and the Norwegian team will be a good audience throughout the session. I think it is really sad that they do not broadcast the womens finals, but that is just the way it is.

Thanks for dropping by and have a good night

Day six part two

March 28, 2011

AAAARGHHHH. Line lost the semifinals against Marika Poikijokki. Ohwell, that means I can go to bed early to prepare for my 9 o’clock match:) So far she has two medals in two tournaments with two more to go. We have more chances.

I will play against Marketa Mljenkocva (CZE) tomorrow and I need to win that and one more to be in top 16 again. This time 9th is not an option! Mats play the winners qualification and the rest of the guys are hanging in there. Tomorrow it is 9-ball for all players and I am really looking forward to play. This is my discipline!

Time for bed, more updates and some pictures tomorrow.

Day six part one:)

March 28, 2011

9-ball have started but I do not have any matches today. All I have to do is write protocols for the others and watch their matches which I like to do. So far Mats Schjetne beat Petroni and Martine, Kristoffer and Mats are still on the winner side. Malvin, Steffen and Mikael are on the looser side but still in. Line and I have wo and play tomorrow morning. That is, Line play qf and hopefully sf and final in 8-ball today.

Go Norway!

I will let you how she does later tonight

Have a good day!
Ine:)

Another long day is over. The 8-ball started yesterday and I lost my first match against Petra Stadelbauer (AUS) with 3-6. I played ok, but missed to many key shots. My next match was today, but Line played the finals in straightpool against Jasmin, and I was not in the room before veeery late. Line took silver in the straightpool by the way:)

I have played four matches today. Erim, Latife (NCY) 6-2, Bernadette Thot ( HUN) 6-2, Latitita Dos Santos (FRA) 6-5. Latitita and me played for more than two hours and I was down 3-5 and came back. Offcourse I had to meet Jasmin in top 16, thats just the way it is. She is something else… I was thinking, Im coming back on the table, Im coming back on the table, Im coming back on the table….. no. The impossible was made possible. I lost 1-6 and learned a lesson:)

Anyway,  17th in straightpool, 9th in 8-ball, this is the right direction. 9-ball start the day after tomorrow and the only way is up! Tomorrow I will be writng protocolls for the guys, they play in the morning. Line plays the quarterfinals 8-ball in the afternoon.

Thanks for taking the time to visit!

Playing against Jasmin Ouschan

Ok, so I ended up on 17th place. I was really aiming for atleast top 16, but someone cut of my brain in the end of my game against Sara Rocha, Portugal, and I lost 68-75. I mean really cut off my brain….

Line is in the final and we have all been cheering for her the rest of the day. Yuhuuu!

Sorry to cut this post short, but I am exhausted from playing at 9 and 11 followed by Lines matches at 3, 5 and way too late;)

All I have to say is: 8-ball here I come (1745 tomorrow)

Have a good day ( or night)

Ine:)
