You know, sometimes the balls just won’t roll your way and this was one of those tournaments. I was not seeded for this tournament and I got really punished for that. I met Ana Gradisnik (SLO) in the first round at 0900 and never got my game going. Next match I played 63 year old Sonja Mayer (AUT) and this time I hardly made any mistake and won 7-0. My last match was against Sara Rocha (POR) and after a good game from both of us, she won 7-6 after I made a huge mistake, trying  to play a safety. I played really well, got my break working and was on my way to run out on hill-hill. After getting through all the difficulties on the table, I lost the cue-ball and it went 10 cm to far. In my attempt to play a safety I hit the nineball and left the table wide open. That was it, 25th….  When you get a match in the first round you also get one in the first losers round for some reason. Most people had a bye in this round.

The good news is that despite of my lousy rank in this tournament I am back up in the seeded top 8, on 7th place actually. I am pretty happy with that, I have a good chance for a spot in the WC 9-ball in august. I hope so:)

Ana Mazhirina (RUS) won against Jasmin Ouschan ((AUT), and also climbed to the no 1 spot on the ranking. Congrats!

Not happy with 17th place , but I have played ok. My last match was not so good, but overall it has been ok. now I am going to retire 8-ball for a while…

Our team got 33rd place, better than we expected. Fredrik Førde and Jone Ree Skjelbred did a good job:)

I will upload pictures later to this post, I just wanted to let you know how I did in the two tournaments.

In Amway Cup I played really good, but Liu Sasha and Chou was too good in Amway. I beat Kawahara 7-2, but then she beat both Chou and Liu and my chances of going through the group was gone.. Tough luck, but atleast I held om to the 25th and $500 payout.

In Portugal I played really well ( 8-ball) the first day, and then the cold got to me. It was so cold in the venue we were shaking when we were on teh table. Anyway, I ended 9th after loosing for Louise Furbderg ( SWE) and it is good points towards the ranking. It is ok:)
