Norwegian Champion 8-ball women!
January 22, 2017
I did it, I am Norwegian Champion 8-ball. This is the discipline that I struggle with the most, I loose my patience. I have played only 8-ball the last weeks just to get my mind around it, and it payed off.
Today I have played against the future in Norwegian pool, to young girls from Hyllestad. In the semifinals I met 16 year old Vilde-Mary Dingsøyr Holme. I played well and won it 6-0, but she will be very good in the future. In the finals I met 15 year old Nina Torvund and she played superb! I was down 4-1 at one point but managed to win 6-5 after Nina missed the matchball at 5-4. These youngsters are the future and I look forward to see what they can do in the next Youth European Championhips!
My teammate Fredrik Førde finished 9th in the open divison so Svithun Biljardklubb has had a good weekend:) Thank you Oslo Biljardklubb, and especially Egil Arne Sørensen, for all the hard work you do for us! I wish you the best with the move and I cant wait to be back in march to see the new place:)
Even though I would like to do better in the open division I feel I have had a great weekend and that really comes down to all the nice people I have met:)
Tired, but happy, I reached one of my goals!
Thanks for reading:)
Ine
Hello Ine, what a great performance, trailing and then fighting back, and doing so with tactical game as well as good potting and strong fundamentals. Agree, the young girls will be the future of Norway female pool, the way they played they would nock out a few already today. Glad to see that all the hard work payed off !! I know this aint your first title, but coming back like you did, that show a lot!
Congratulations are so in order 🙂
