After an 7 hour drive I made it to Hyllestad, a small beautiful place by a fjord in Sogn og Fjordane. All the best players in Norway have gathered here to battle it out. I start play tomorrow morning at 10 against Elkhem Eisajan from Ask BC.

Not my best pool weekend

January 17, 2016

I have struggled with my game all weekend. I ended 17th in the open division, an ok result really, but I lost the finals in the women’s division. When 8-ball gets difficult it really just take all my energy. Everything is a struggle. Ohwell, this was my first and last 8-ball tournament this year.

Next tournament is a norwegian cup in Hyllestad in February. Back to the practice table:)

I have had a good time with good friends, that helps:) Also I have received an unbelievable amount of congratulations and kind words for my birthday yesterday,  I really appreciate that. Thank you:)

Two wins and one loss today

I won both my matches in women’s division but lost 6-8 in the open. Walking in the snow and heading foor the hotel. Tired is not the right word. Ohwell, tomorrow is a new day ( my birthday actually ) I start at 13.

Onwards and upwards!
God night everyone
Ine:)

On my way to Oslo to play the Norwegian Championships 8-ball, open and women. I have three matches today, two in the women’s division and one in the open.

You can follow the open division HERE and the women’s division HERE

It is minus 16 degrees in Oslo now so I have filled my suitcase with warm clothes:) Even dug out my wintershoes for this. Brrrrrrrrr…. Oslo biljardsenter always take good care of us though, so I think it will be warm while we play:)

Updates will come

2016 here I come!

January 10, 2016

I started the year with a visit to Ledaal, the Kings house in Stavanger, on January 1. The mayor, Christine Sagen Helgø, presented everyone living in Stavanger and was a Norwegian Champion, International Champion or medalists and also the ones becoming Nordic Champion during 2015. As you know I was Norwegian Champion four times in 2015 and I got the city pin and a towel with “Norgesmester Stavanger Kommune” on it (Norwegian Champion Stavanger municipality) Very nice to be presented alongside all other sports, it is not so often poolplayers in Norway get that privilege:)

Next I get a phonecall from a boardmember in the Norwegian federation asking med if I want a spot for the European Championships. I have been off the team for two years and off course I accepted strait away:) The beginning of the year could not be better!

This year I will rise my goals a notch:

  • I want to repeat my four wins in the Norwegian Championships women
  • I want to stay in the elite without having to play a qualification in the end of the year
  • I want to finish in top 5 on the Eurotour ranking
  • I want at least one medal in the European Championships!

I start of 2016 by playing the Norwegian Championships 8-ball, Open and Womens division. I will post details in the next few days.

Onwards and upwards!
