So, I won the women’s championship. It was a long weekend because I played in both events, but at least i brought home the third trophy this year. One more to go in November as the 9-ball championships come up:) In the round robin I won 6-1 Nitusha Lion (UNI), 6-1 Arnhild Eiken (HYL) then 6-3 in the quarterfinal against June Håndstad (TSI), 6-0 in the semifinal against Arnhild Eiken (HYL) og 6-2 in the final against Christel Johnsen. My game got better as I closed in on the final and it felt ok. I am looking forward to the Nordic 10-ball Championships in three weeks!

In the open division I ended on 33rd place and I am a bit disappointed with my own game. That said it is always difficult to play two tournaments at the same time so I just have to learn from my mistakes and hopefully eliminate them before the 9-ball championships.

Congratulations to all the medal winners in both divisions, and thank you Oslo Biljardklubb and Jan Terje Øyen.

I have the best equipment:)

Today we played RT 7, straightpool. This is a local ranking tournament, we have 8 of them in a year. The winner of the ranking gets a spot in the elite division (32 best players in Norway) and I am now leading with more than 700 points so my spot in the elite is secured:)

We were not so many players, but I have played well and that is what matters. I started with a 25 and then 36 run to finish my first game with a 10,7 in average. I followed up with 20,25 and 25 again. I won all my 5 matches so the day has been good:)

Next tournament is Norwegian 10-ball Championships in Oslo 25-27 september.

What a day…

September 5, 2015

I really tried my best but today the balls did not roll my way. And my opponents took advantage of that, as they should. The last match I scratched twice on the last ball before the eight on difficult shots I would play exactly the same if I was yo do it again. In a race to 6 you can’t give away games like that.

Ohwell. I just have to let it go and focus on the Norwegian championships in 10-ball in three weeks. Now I  am going to take a day off, just relax here in beautiful Braga.

Portugal!

September 3, 2015

CARTAZ 70X100On my way to Braga, Portugal, to play the Women’s 8-ball Open, the 5th Eurotour this year. I have practiced a lot of 8-ball these past weeks and I feel prepared, up for the challenge. 8-ball is not my favourite dicipline, but I think it is because I play so much 9-ball and 10-ball. You need to get in the mood for 8-ball and I have been working on my mental preparation before the Ardennen Cup and also for this tournament.

I will post link to livestream wgen I get it.

Wish me luck and thanks for reading!
